If the foundation of love be right, the leadership of the heart becomes so simple and sweet that reason to hide its head in shame, but if there be any defect in this foundation, then the intellect is powerless to correct it, and it becomes futile to ask for any explanation, whether it be of attraction or repulsion, laughter or tears.
